Sindo

ART DIRECTION, B(R)AND IDENTITY CLIENT: SINDO
PHOTOGRAPHY: HANIM YAHMAN, BAYBEATS
As the new kid on the block of Singapore's music scene, Sindo had a pretty good idea of how they sound—they just needed someone to make sure they looked the part. I dove deep into their music and their philosophies to understand the kind of story their logo should encapsulate.

Sindo’s music is an expression of normalcy & the dreams of the everyday man. Songs about nothing and everything. It's an echo of the Singaporean story, which I wanted to translate into a visual rhythm. I explored the idea of an everyday rhythm; a beautification of the mundane and turned to a familiar world of bread tags, teh tariks[1], the buildings of Rochor, and kopitiam[2], for inspiration.

teh tariks[1]
Pulled tea with milk popular in Singapore
kopitiam
[2]
Typically a coffee house serving traditional Malay and Chinese fare.
